As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of specific key account(s) or department(s). Additional responsibilities are sales, customer care, procurement activity, as well as P&L responsibility.

RFQ and Tender Management
Development of Global Customer Processes and Solutions
Rate Negotiations and Selection of Sub-contractors
Provide and Follow-up on Sales Leades within the Global Network
Assessment and Quality Control
Coordination and Motivation of Operational Staff
Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, and Claim Management
Profit and Loss Responsibility
Leadership
Meet the customer's requirements
Determine priorities
Achieve growth of the account/business
HR Planning and Pre-Selection
Also responsible for:
Office Management
Commercial Support for Accounts Receivable
Contact with:
Operational - customer, ocean/air carriers, stevedoring / trucking companies
Sales Department
Accounting Department
Harbor Community (Port Authority and other vendors)
Reports to:
Director
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of comprehensive experience in logistics and forwarding operations/regulations, and documentation. Require a professional degree by a licensed educational institution with a specialization in logistics and forwarding. Must be PC literate with Microsoft applications and other market-leading software applications. Deeper knowledge on electronic support tools for the logistics operation a plus. Possess analytical capabilities in order to develop logistics solutions. Must have a firm knowledge of at least two foreign business languages and strong leadership capabilities.
