Universiade Shenzhen 2011, a international sport event organized for university athletes will be held from August 12th to 23rd, 2011. Shenzhen city will impose traffic restrictions from August 4th to 24th, using the odd-and-even number system to control the flow of vehicles on alternate days. The control measure will keep about 800,000 vehicles off the road during the busiest moments of the event and it will extend to midnight during the opening and closing dates of the Universiade.

Dangerous cargo using road transportation will be restricted from 0700 hours to 2000 hours unless it is approved in advance and it must be transported in according to designated lanes.

In addition, the government has announced public holidays around the opening and closing ceremonies. BDP International in Shenzhen will be closed during the period from August 11th to 14th and from August 22nd to 24th.

BDP International in Hong Kong, handling the majority of the transshipment and trucking delivery to Shenzhen city would devote additional resources to assist customers by offering different routings and options during this period of time.
