BDP names new CIO

PHILADELPHIA, December 8, 2005 – BDP International, a leading privately held global logistics and transportation management company, has named Michael Loup chief information officer. Reporting to BDP President Richard J. Bolte, Jr., Loup will be responsible for global strategy, planning and operation of the company’s information systems and technology development activities.

Loup brings to BDP more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology, business consulting and international trade logistics. He joins BDP from its Houston, Tex.-based Elite Group subsidiary, where he was executive vice president responsible for global strategy, e-business initiatives and strategic account management. Previously, Loup was executive vice president of another Houston-based enterprise, Penta, Inc., a software consulting firm he helped found and whose proprietary audit and security software he co-authored.

“Michael’s qualifications as a strategist and his extensive experience in building companies that provide business solutions through information technology match up well with BDP’s goals and our Xpedion operating system migration, to integrate decision-support visibility for customers globally,” said BDP’s Bolte in announcing the appointment.
