BDP opens Rotterdam office
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. USA; ANTWERP, Belgium,
August 23, 2005 - BDP International(r) (BDP), a leading privately

opened an office in Hoogvliet, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Managing
the new office is Bob Van Buren, reporting to BDP Managing Director
Benelux/France Yves Letange, who is based at the company's European
headquarters in Antwerp.
The Rotterdam office offers a wide range of services, including
sea freight forwarding, customs brokerage and compliance consulting,
logistics and warehousing, road transport, distribution and
project forwarding.
"A presence in Rotterdam, one of the world's largest ports
and base of operations for many of our customers, is essential,"
said BDP's Letange. "As such, BDP operations here represent
another progressive step in building our regional infrastructure
to better serve our global clients, particularly those in the

The Port of Rotterdam accommodates more than 30,000 vessels
a year, handling over 350 million tons of cargo. In addition,
the port area hosts over 40 chemical companies, 13 tank terminals,
four refineries and three gas companies.

France, Belgium and Italy, formed a strategic partnership with
a Japanese firm and a joint venture with a firm in Qatar; and
opened offices in China and Dubai. In June, the company acquired
