BDP to host expanded trade compliance seminar
PHILADELPHIA, May 12, 2008 – BDP International, a leading global logistics and transportation services company, and its Centrx consulting unit will host a two-day Import/Export Trade Compliance Seminar, May 20-21, 2008 at the Down Town Club, 6th and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia, Pa.
Titled "Regulations in High Definition," it will be
the most comprehensive compliance event of the year, focusing
on current, pending and new regulations affecting U.S. importers
and exporters, together with up-to-the-minute recommendations
and best practices for safeguarding shipments.
The first day of the expanded format will be devoted to issues
concerning export trade compliance, with the second day of the
conference dedicated to the U.S. import industry. Developed
by a team of BDP International trade compliance experts, the
program will address export topics, including Export 101, the
Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, recent export penalty cases,
shipping hazardous materials, and a thorough understanding of
NAFTA and CAFTA-DR.
The second day of the conference will explore topics concerning
U.S. import trade, including HTS classification, recent import
penalty cases, import security filing, an overview of drawback,
and information on Customs valuation.
