BDP sources report that as of 6:00 am (EDT) this morning, September 13, 2001, all maritime terminals in the New York/New Jersey port area reopened.

Maher, PNCT, and Howland Hook gates are open, and truck traffic is light. Congestion is expected to increase during the afternoon hours.

At 8:45am (EDT), all access to Staten Island had been closed by the authorities in connection with the ongoing investigation of the terrorist activities. Therefore, although Howland Hook is open, access is not possible at this time.
