Advisories ::
Port of New York/New Jersey

The U.S. Coast Guard has permitted inbound vessel movements. Each vessel entering the Port of NY/NJ is subject to Coast Guard examination. Inspection duration is approximately two (2) hours. This procedure is also in place for U.S. West Coast ports.

All highways and access roads to the port area are open.

Labor returned at 6:00am (EDT). Productivity on the terminals and gates was good. Truck traffic was moderate while deliveries to and from the railroads were operating well.

Howland Hook experienced some phone line outages and was also impacted by intermittent bridge closings at Staten Island.

(Cruise vessels will likely not call New York for the balance of the cruise season. The cruise terminal is being used for recovery operations.)

Status of individual vessels:

  • PAX EB NEW YORK EXPRESS 06EP32: In route to berth - PNCT. Pilot on board. Vessel was proceeding to the berth and expected to be at PNCT 19:00. Will commence cargo operations on arrival with one crane. When the Enterprise completes cargo operations, two more cranes will be transferred to the New York Express. NY Express scheduled to sail for Halifax 12:00, Friday September 14. Three hundred (300) empties to be left behind in New York to make arrival prior to the next inbound vessel in Halifax. Latest schedule is to be 24 hours behind upon arrival Europe.
  • AEX INBOUND REPULSE BAY 36W37: Berthed at Howland Hook. Vessel to perform an exchange call (i.e. single call to New York and will sail Friday, September 14, PM).
  • AMX ENTERPRISE 10E37: Berthed at PNCT. Scheduled to complete cargo operations 2200, Thursday, September 13.
All other U.S. Ports are currently open but operating under controlled conditions, subject to restrictions as required. Delays due to Coast Guard pre-inspections are up to two (2) hours.
