With regard to the FAA SD 108-01-03B which prohibited the airlines from carrying cargo and mail on passenger flights, the good news is that the restriction has been lifted FOR KNOWN SHIPPERS. Air Forwarders should have already received notification from the FAA regarding this action. This is truly good news in what has otherwise been a horrific week of news.

The Airforwarders Association and its Board of Directors, Security Committee and airline partners, have been lobbying the authorities to lift the restriction and that action was taken late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning. There is still much work to be done but this is a good start. Please make sure that your employees maintain the highest security standards mindset and we shall pull together to turn up the business of air commerce once again.
