Advisories ::
BDP Air Transportation Update from Carrier Partner US Airways Cargo
Friday, September 21, 6:00 PM EDT
- US Airways Cargo is not accepting freight from Unknown Shippers or from IACs Unknown Shippers.
- Washington National Airport remains closed.
- Restricted airspace around New York City and Washington, D.C. will cause some delays in the Northeast corridor.
US Airways is now accepting cargo from the following:
- Cargo from domestic passenger air carriers.
- Cargo from international passenger air carriers that operate flights to and from the U.S.
Heightened security measures remain in effect at airports so please be aware of the restrictions in place for the drop-off and recovery of PDQs at the ATO/terminal of local airports.
Vehicles CANNOT be left unattended or parked near any terminal. Because of this change, at those airports that are allowing vehicles by the terminals two people will be required in each vehicle, one person to go into the terminal, the other to stay with the vehicle and drive around the airport.
Parking is available at all Cargo Facilities where PDQs are accepted in accordance with local cut off times.
