PHILADELPHIA, ANTWERP, July 7, 2004
– Yves Letange has joined BDP International, a leading
global logistics and transportation services company, as general
manager of its operations in Belgium and France.
Based in Antwerp and reporting to BDP President Richard J. Bolte,
Jr., he will be responsible for operations, regional sales and
customer service for the company’s Antwerp, Brussels,
Paris and Lyon offices. Prior to joining BDP, Letange worked
for UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where he held various management
positions.
“The addition of Yves to our regional management team
significantly strengthens BDP’s organization in Europe,
helping our multinational clients grow in this important market,”
said Bolte. “He brings multi-disciplinary qualifications
to this new position, in both its strategic and tactical roles,
that complement our customer-intimate approach to international
logistics.”
BDP’s European operations include international freight
forwarding; Customs brokerage and regulatory compliance; air,
ground and sea transportation; warehousing; lead/fourth party
logistics; and logistics information services. It serves clients
in the chemical, healthcare, biotechnology, automotive aftermarket,
metals, plant construction and electrical equipment industries.
Earlier this year, BDP completed acquisitions of T.I.nv, a Belgium-based
international logistics firm with offices in Antwerp, Brussels,
Bangkok and Singapore, and ACTA S.A.S. with offices Paris and
Lyon. Both companies operate as wholly owned subsidiaries of
BDP International.
BDP also acquired
a majority interest in the transportation division of Merlin
Logistics GmbH, Kriftel, Germany, earlier this year.
