An integral part of The BDP Experience is our deeply rooted belief that we — all 4,850 of us — are a global family. We take the extra step and go the extra mile to deliver the best global logistics solutions for our customers. From time to time, we feature the offices from which The BDP Experience emanates, highlighting specialties, key accomplishments and fun facts.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to BDP Singapore, as told by Eleanor Wong, Human Resources Manager.
Office Specialty: BDP Singapore, the second office in Asia Pacific, was incorporated in 1995 with 8 staff and 1 account. With more than 20 years of experience and gaining ground in the industry, we stand strong with 190 staff and more than 200 accounts currently. Our key services include but are not limited to air and ocean transportation, own-managed warehousing and distribution, shipping documentation-LC/Non LC/Customs Brokerage, etc.
Key Accomplishments: We were recognized by some of our biggest customers for outstanding service in 2017.
Why the Office’s Location Matters: Singapore was ranked the No. 1 Logistics Hub in Asia by The World Bank in 2014, given the strategic location at the heart of Southeast Asia and the nexus of major shipping lanes. Under the Singapore Customs, BDP Singapore is part of the Mutual Recognition Agreement/ Arrangement (MRA), which facilitates and secures trade flows in Singapore with its trading partners, allowing for customs clearance with ease.
