Francis X. Bolte named Humanitarian of the Year by Make-A-Wish® New Jersey

BDP International’s Chief of Administration Francis X. Bolte was named Make-A-Wish® New Jersey’s Humanitarian of the Year Award winner at the nonprofit’s 35th-anniversary gala celebration on June 14.

Bolte — an active member of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation since 1996 — has served on the Make-A-Wish® New Jersey board of directors since 2013, and is the current Chairman of the Board. The organization celebrated its 10,000th wish granted at the gala, which also raised more than $1 million for providing wishes to children in need. According to the organization, 530 wishes were granted just last year to New Jersey children with critical illnesses, a chapter record.

“We are humbled by the continued generosity and support of our community here in the Garden State, which has allowed us to deliver our mission to New Jersey children for the past 35 years,” Tom Weatherall, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish® New Jersey said following the event.

Bolte’s efforts are part of the BDP Cares initiative, which gives back to the communities where the BDP family operates and lives — throughout the world. “As a family owned and operated organization, it’s vital that we live our values and continue to contribute to the local communities in which we live, work, play and raise our families,” Bolte said. “BDP employees around the world — truly a family — have been so dedicated to giving back to their communities.” Through BDP Cares, more than $230,000 (U.S.) has been raised for disaster relief, more than 100 community events have been hosted and 9,600 hours of paid volunteer time have been made available.
