Recent growing concerns about the environment and climate change have increased the popularity of sustainability. Formulating and implementing sustainability strategies to respond to environmental and social problems is a challenge for companies because every company has different characteristics. In this session, understanding sustainability, why it is important for the supply chain and what are the sustainable practices to achieve “net zero” emissions or “carbon neutrality." The aim is not just to reduce our environmental impact, and better serve our customers and the community; but also, to share what organisations can do to integrate sustainability into business implementations.

Dao Ming has over 14 years of experience in Environment Health and Safety Management in both public and private sectors. His management experience involved in numerous industry initiatives relating to workplace safety and health, infrastructure, innovation technology as well as sustainability management. He is currently responsible for regional compliance and Health Safety Environment and Quality at BDP in Singapore. He holds a master’s degree in Safety Health and Environmental Technology from National University of Singapore (NUS), and a Bachelor (Hon) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
