For companies that import or export products across the globe, there is always the possibility that their freight may experience some form of loss or damage along the way. Not a week goes by where we do not hear of another incident involving a vessel at sea. While BDP will always do what we can to avoid any incident involving our customer’s freight it is important to understand the steps that should be taken if loss or damage were to occur and the liability that goes along with it. In this session, we will discuss the process that should be followed to ensure any claim involving BDP or its subcontractors is handled correctly and liability is understood. In addition, we will review the methods that can be taken by the customer to prevent loss or damage claims and how to be sure your business is properly compensated if an incident were to occur.
