Avoid ISF penalties & keep your cargo moving

The Importer Security Filing (ISF) is required to be submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) no later than 24 hours prior to the cargo being loaded on any vessel destined for the United States.

CBP is making every effort to enforce these requirements. If a filing is inaccurate, incomplete, or untimely, CBP can issue damages of $5000 per violation and/or place the cargo on hold.

As your trusted partner in trade compliance, it is our objective to provide viable compliance solutions for your business, while keeping your supply chain in motion. One aspect of such is to avoid any and all penalties, including any associated with ISF filing.

In order to proactively keep your business moving, please ensure all necessary data elements are provided to us within the requested parameters:

Optimum data receipt: 5 days prior to vessel departure

Minimum data receipt: 72 hours prior to vessel departure

Your cooperation with submitting the accurate and timely information to BDP will allow us to properly file ISF on your behalf, where applicable, and proactively avoid any related penalties for violations, that could result in additional costs to your business.

As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your BDP representative.
