Indonesia customs releases new regulation for bill of lading

May 22, 2018 - Indonesia customs has announced regulation No. 158/PMK.04/2017, that will take effect on May 23, 2018 (based on cargo arrival date).

The regulation requires the bill of lading to show the consignee's and/or importer's tax ID number and the cargo HS code (first four digits only) when submitting the manifest/import document to customs.

All bills of lading have to indicate the following information as required by Indonesia Customs:
1. Tax ID (can be obtained from consignee in Indonesia)
2. First four digits of the HS code (description of goods)
