Modification of Section 301 Action: Enforcement of US WTO Rights in Large Civil Aircraft Dispute

On February 14 the US Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice that announced a tariff change as part of the ongoing Airbus dispute. Certain products (already listed) will see a tariff increase from 15 to 25% in March. For review, please find the USTR notice that announces and lists out the items impacted by the increased tariff and the date the change takes effect.

It is important to note under these actions that knowing your classification as well as the exact origin of the import products, is critical. Please note these tariffs are not for all listed EU products but are country-specific.

The USTR has also stated that going forward all actions may be subject to immediate revisions upon any EU imposition of additional duties on US products.

This is a fluid situation that BDP International will continue to monitor. We will keep you apprised of all developments as they unfold.

In the meantime, should you have any questions about product classification, please reach out to your local BDP representative.
