35 states pen declaration on cutting shipping’s CO2 footprint

The declaration, signed by 35 countries including the UK, France, Denmark, Germany, Canada, the Marshall Islands, Chile and New Zealand, was signed two years after the historic Paris climate change agreement, which exempted shipping and aviation from targeted CO2 emissions cuts.


4,000th Neopanamax transits through Panama Canal

The Panama Canal registered the transit of its 4,000th Neopanamax vessel through the Expanded Canal when the LNG carrier Maria Energy transited southbound from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean on July 29.
