BDP USA Air FSC Notification
Dear Valued Air Customer,
As previously announced, BDP International implemented a Fuel Price Index (FPI) methodology based on the IATA (Platts) – Global Jet Fuel Index – a weighted average of five regional jet fuel spot prices (Index value of 100 = 2000 price @$0.87/gal).
Fuel surcharges increase or decrease whenever the FPI passes certain thresholds for four consecutive weeks. On the last Friday of the month the average of the last four measurements is calculated. FPI updates are effective the second Monday of following month.
Please note effective February 13, 2017, we will maintain the current FSC levels at the following:
Origin Destination FSC Rate
United States TC2 (Europe), TC3 (Asia) $0.80/kg
United States TC1a (LATAM) TC3a (AU, NZ, IN, RU) $1.05/kg
The surcharge is applicable to the chargeable weight of each air waybill and subject to a $15.00 minimum, and will remain in effect until further notice.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and look forward to providing you with the quality, dependable service you’ve come to expect. Should you have any questions regarding the application of the fuel surcharge, please contact your local BDP operations.
